Nick Johnson
Founder & Owner, America’s Fence & Deck
Fence Contractor with 25+ Years of Experience
I grew up in the farming communities of Southeast Missouri’s Bootheel, where hard work wasn’t optional and people took pride in doing things right. Those values shaped how I approach this business today.
After graduating in 1998, I moved to the St. Louis area and joined my father’s fence company, O’Fallon Fence. I started in the field like everyone else: setting posts, building gates, repairing fences, and learning the trade from the ground up.
In 2000, I helped expand the company with a second location in Warrenton, which gave me even more hands-on experience working across the region. Over the years, I continued building my skills in the industry, even launching a small repair service called Fence Repairman to help homeowners with repairs and smaller projects.
By 2011, I had the opportunity to take ownership of the Warrenton operation. That milestone eventually led to the creation of America’s Fence & Deck in 2017, built on the same work ethic and standards I’d learned growing up.
Today I stay directly involved in how projects are planned and built because I’ve seen what happens when corners get cut. The details matter.
Two of my three sons now work alongside me in the business. Seeing the next generation learn the trade and the values behind it is one of the things I’m proudest of.

Our Story
Built the American Way
America’s Fence & Deck was founded in 2017 with a simple idea: build a fence company that reflects the values people respect in American craftsmanship: honest work, reliable materials, and accountability for every job.
From the beginning, the company focused on doing things differently from many contractors in the industry. Instead of chasing volume or cutting costs with overseas materials, America’s Fence & Deck committed to American-made products and installation practices designed to last.
The company continued to grow steadily as more homeowners discovered that approach. In 2020, the acquisition of Wentzville Fence expanded the company’s reach and strengthened its presence across the region.
Today, America’s Fence & Deck serves communities throughout the Warrenton and greater St. Louis area while remaining a family-run business rooted in traditional values.
While the company has grown, the mission hasn’t changed: build fences the right way, treat customers with respect, and stand behind every project long after the job is finished.
